The stylus should not be a problem. Without knowing the make and model of the turntable, however, there is no way to respond about hte arm. You have listed this question under the Rotel receiver category, can you pelase supply the ,ake and model of the turntable? Also, supply any numbers that appear on the current stylus so I can verify that either the exact one or a similar substitute is available.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a realistic clarinette 120 turntable . How do I replace the needle?

Most are held in place by 2 small screws, remove them and carefully unplug the cartridge from the tone arm, reverse to install new one, then check the balance the tone arm and set to correct pressure..

Norwich 2 e239.1.a how to replace stylus

Just grip the stylus carrier and slide it forward (probably slightly down too).

It looks like this:

Can i use a crosley stylus in my detrola km837 record player

Stylus will only fit into certain cartridges. You have two options here. You can look up the cartridge number and make on your Detrola. It should be on the cartridge somewhere. Then search for the stylus. Or you can remove the Detrola cartridge and fit a new cartridge and stylus. As long as the cartridge will fit into the arm of your deck, plus it's the right type - ie: magnetic if the old cartridge was magnetic! Or ceramic - again if the old cartridge was...
Then you can use any make or model cartridge you want. As the quality of the sound can be improved - albeit paying more money for it - by having a good quality cartridge and stylus, it might be best in the long run to change the cartridge.

Denon dp-26F when i tried to play a record the arm just skated all the way across the record. is there a way to adjust the arm so it plays correctly?

The short answer is that you need a new stylus as the one you have is either broken or worn away so that it won't stay in the groove. It could also be out of place. Rubbing your finger on the stylus you should be able to feel it digging in. If you can't it's gone!

What replacement stylus do I need for a JVC AL-A151 turntable?

Since it's possible to fit any cartridge in most turntables the answer is to look at the make and number of the cartridge installed into the arm of your turntable. Put that into Google and the stylus should come up.

Spirit of St. Louis Turntable Art No. 541.809 stylus

You need only find the cartridge model and then search the net for it. That should find the stylus for it. Or you can replace the cartridge with a different make as long as it will fit in the headshell of the arm.

The needle is broken off can it be fixed for less then the turntable cost?

Yes it can. On the head of the arm if you look carefully where the needle (to give it's correct name -stylus) is. What it fits into is a cartridge. If you can see letters or numbers on it that will be the type. If you put that into Google it should find it. You should find if it is possible to buy the stylus with or without the cartridge. Though it's often cheaper to buy both. The cartridge will either be screwed onto the head or just clipped on someway. You will find four wires attached to the cartridge. These will have to be removed if you have to replace the cartridge. Make a note of how each wire attaches to the cartridge. As long as you can get a cartridge to fit the headshell you can use any magnetic cartridge for the job. All you would need to do with a different cartridge is adjust the weight to apply the correct pressure to the stylus.
If the cartridge doesn't have any number etc on it, put the make/model number of the turntable into Google adding cartridge/stylus.

My record stylus slides across records

There are a couple of reasons this is happening. First and formost gently lift the stylus arm and blow any and all dust off of the needle. You may even have to gently 'pinch' off any accumulated dust. Be careful since you don't want to pull the playing needle off.
This is a very common problem. If this does not help, you need a new stylus needle for the arm.

My turn table is and old one my needle is broken would i beable to get a new arm for it

With a model number and the brand of your turntable I could probably find what you need with that information. Without that information there is no way to find the right parts.

I have been fixing turntables for over 17 years and have only needed to replace the arm on 2 or 3 of them in that time. It is very unlikely that you would need the arm replaced. The arm is a little more difficult to find for some turntables, but it is not impossible.

Finding the stylus, and/or cartridge with the stylus is not too much of a problem.

Just supply the needed information and I will take care of it for you.
