Make sure you are on the correct input for hdmi on the TV through it's remote. Then look to this link below for direction on how to get your laptop to display out, instead of its LCD screen:
Hello There are two types of connections can be done with PC to TV, according to TVs inputs. If TV has a VGA input socket, a VGA to VGA cable is necessary. If the TV has only HDMI input socket, a VGA to HDMI cable is needed.
You need an adapter and the bestis to approach the nearest computer accessories store where such ones are available to which the conversion cord you bought can be used. Please check this interesting utube presentation;
Hi Jatinder Kumar ,
Yes you can connect your computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable.
1. Connect to HDMI (DVI) : just plug in HDMI (DVI) out of PC or laptop to HDMI or DVI TV. Than select source from HDMI.
2. Connect to PC : Plug D sub to TV, select PC in.
Depending on your graphics card you may want to try a digital lead hdmi/dvi.
Also remember you will have to change settings for your graphics card.
If it will do dual view or clone desktop then select it but set your resolution to 800x600 just to start.
If you go too high the tv or computer may not display or say out of range
vga to tc vga has been known to be a bit of a mixed bag in terms of results but for the most part they are good esp if you use a good quality cable and not one of the many cheap ones that are about..
You will need a VGA to HDMI converter, at least $100. Just Google it and you'll find one. One is linked here: http://www.hdtvsupply.com/vga-to-hdmi.html
