Unit illuminates every LED (and thewhole display) when powered on. The handset says there is no connectionwith base, and none of the base buttons cause any response.
When consulted a Repair center they were able to tell us 'Flash Memory Chip' is dead. I personally yet to see the problem. Relatives out of USA using this Phone told me that. So no idea how far this problem diagnosis is true. But question is any help on the Chip details and how to buy it is much appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.
FROM PAGE 38 of the manual:
If "No link to base. Move closer to base, try again" is displayed, even when using the handset near the base unit, the handset may have lost communication with the base unit. You need to re-register the handset to the base unit..
HAVE BOTH THE HANDSET AND THE BASE UNIT NEARBY DURING REGISTRATION.
FOLLOW STEPS 1 AND 2 LISTED BELOW. YOU HAVE ABOUT 1 MINUTE TO COMPLETE THEM.
1-Base unit:
Press and hold [HANDSET LOCATOR] until the CHARGE indicator flashes.
2-Handset:
Press and hold [FLASH/CALL WAIT] until "Handset Registering" is displayed.
-When registration is complete, a beep sounds from the handset.
-Wait for 20 seconds after registration is complete while the handset establishes communication with the base unit.
If... the handset beeps three times and "ERROR!" is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1.
You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [HANDSET LOCATOR] on the base unit.
Still error and registration fails although keep trying step one and two , shall iill change handset batteries ? Or what shall i do ???????
In this case, the Panasonic user manual for my system advises that I need to "re-register" the hand sets with the base. The manual is available online at the panasonic web site under the Products, Telephones headig. Enter your product model, open or download the manual, the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

After message machine functions, the handset loses it link with the base and all buttons on the base cease to function. I must unplug and plug back in the base every time we get a message or the message machine picks up but party doesn't leave a message.
I Have the same problem where in the base unit does nt respond to any keys and has all its LED s lit up. I managed to turn off the answering system then delete all my messages but it didnt work. my hand set works fine and currently am able to use all its features and receive calls too. The LCD on the base unit displays the digit '8' and the word 'slow'. I have browsed through the manual but not able to find any solution regarding this problem. Does any one know the solution?

All the lights are displayed but the phone won't work, the handsets just say there is no connection to base and I'm not able to charge the phone while on the base. I've unplugged and plugged back in many times, but it doesn't help. This phone is only a few months old, and we did not use the messaging system.
