Philips DVD622 Factory reset

I'd posted a query earlier on the factory reset of a DVD622.
I set the dvd to prog scan and the default background is no longer displayed on TV (blueish image of disc center with PHILIPS on disc). Pressing "system" on the remote has no effect.
Is there a manual factory reset for the dvd player and if so could someone give a step by step (idiot's guide) to do this.
Appreciate a response.

I was exploring the setup menu and I found an election of Progressive Scan "on" and "off". When I tried "on" then the picture get out and no image was since then. I can't...

There are 2 ways you can reset the player to default factory settings, although I am not sure about progressive scan being reverted back to interlaced output.

1) Unplug the player (or switch off) at power point, as soon as you reconnect (switch on) power to unit, press and hold the [STANDBY-ON] button (on the front). As soon as you see 'IS TV ON?' on the front panel display, release the [STANDBY-ON] button. This should reset it.

- OR -

2) If you do not have the instruction manual, you can download a free pdf of it;

I hope this helps a tiny bit.

How do i reset my d-link dir-615 to factory settings

Step 1 With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset.

reset.gif

Step 2 Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3 The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults.

Note: The factory defaults username is admin, and there is no password.

My PHILIPS 34PT9420 tunes only fifty channels and not more than that.Earlier it use to tune 99 channels. So kindly tell me how to tune all 99 channels or how i may have changed some of its factory settings...

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.
