How can i fix This Issue?

Try this: 1) With the printer turned on, unplug it from the main power supply, then press the power button for 30 seconds or so.
Power back on and see.
If doesn't work,
2) Clean the glass and white background material
If that doesn't work,
3) check the scanner bulb assembly: is it able to move freely? Also, the scanner bulb may need replacing.

Experience: I had an HP printer giving the same problem. I was encouraged to buy another printer by support team (scanner bulbs may not be sold just like that). I got another printer not working at all (different make) and used the bulb from that one and I stopped getting the error and printer worked perfectly.

If you can get a similar scanner assembly - preferably for the same make, then do so.

HP 4315 "Scanner Bulb Failure"

They do not sell the scanner bulbs individually, you will probably have to replace the entire scanning assembly, which you can buy, or take to a local repair shop. They should be able to order the scanning assembly for you.

Scanner bulb stays in warm up position

A new scanner assy will cost you $300.00. You can't just buy the bulb. Keep turning off and on until scanner goes home, but this is not a permanent cure.

How head litht assembly come out

  1. Open the hood.
    1. Remove the thumb screws (4) that retain the headlamp (3) to the headlamp bracket (1).
    2. Pull the headlamp (3) forward in order to disengage the rear retaining pin (2).
    3. Remove the headlamp (1) from the vehicle.
    4. Disconnect the electrical connectors. NOTE: Avoid touching the bulb or letting the bulb come in contact with anything damp. Scanner error message hp laserjet 3030

This problem has to do with the scanner mirror. You may hear a grinding sound, also. The reason it does this is because the scanner bulb cannot find 'home', so it keeps trying to find it. Well, it uses the mirrors to reflect on another object inside the scanner to tell it when to stop. The mirror on top of the right next to the scanner bulb may need to be cleaned. This works every time for me, except the same problem always comes back sooner or later.
how to clean-
1.unplug your scanner
2.notice the glass covering on the left side, it can be removed with a Phillips screwdriver. Unscrew the plastic surrounding the glass and then remove the glass covering.
3.Plug the scanner back in and wait for the scanner to move left and then unplug it before it starts moving to the right. Repeat this until scanner bulb is all the way on the left of the machine.
-an alternative method-
with the glass covering removed, use a pair of pliers to move the small belt that moves the scanner bulb. keep moving it until the scanner bulb is all the way on the left of the machine.
4.With the scanner bulb assembly in reach, grab a Q-tip and gently clean the mirror that is just to the right of the bulb. You might want a flashlight to see the dirt and dust.
5. Put the glass covering back on.
6. Plug in the scanner.
At first to me it seemed like it wouldn't work, but it does.
Hope it helps. Reply back if it does.

Scanner error 6

Scanner errors are as follows for that model:

Scanner error #

1 = dark find
2 = LMW temp find
3 = bulb warm up from off
4 = bulb warm up from coarse
5 = cal label find
6 = doc original find
7 = LMW final find
8 = cal label find after scan
9 = cal label find prior to standby
10 = doc original find prior to standby
11 = bulb warm up from standby

I would see if there is an original on the flatbed glass (platen), or if something is obstructing the scanner view.

If the error persists, replace the scanner
assembly or the formatter pcb

Bulb issue w/ scanner?

More likely a CCD/Firmware problem.
Try reinstalling the softqare, but if it persists replacing the scanner is the only option.

Scanner not working - get error message

First, check to see if the bulb lights up, if not you have bad bulb. the bulb can be ordered separately. if the bulb is good, you have a problem with the main board.
