Hi, i have a 7520 Acer, and my friend has other model of acer laptop, the 2 came with vista preinstall, and at first there was no problem, but sudendly they wont connect to the lcd projectors, it eather shows no signal or it flikers, we tried changing the fliker rate, the resolution and number of color but nothing seems to work and it seams like its a general problem with acer laptops, that the external monitor fails, does any one knows what to do???
I have the same model of Acer and it worked in all of my classroom LCD with powerpoint lectures and with a SONY TV at home. Try right-clicking your screen to view the NVIDIA control panel. Configure "dual" multiple display (costumize to "dual" configuration or "forced-detect."
You have to hold down the FN key, and press one of the number buttons that has what looks like a little screen on it in order for it to work the order is off, projector only, computer and projector and then it repeats
I have this problem also with an acer 7520. But, only when I try to launch a movie with windows media player or vlc, it shows black image. But the desktop and windows are show corectly on the projector. Only the window with the movie running is black.
I don`t explain this, and I am searching for fix this. Windows vista. I didn`t try xp on this laptop.

the FN+F5 to change to the external monitor is not the problem, the problem is that the laptop is not sending the proper signal to the projectors, and it seams to be a general problem with acer laptops, i wonder if is only under vista, and if it could be fix with drivers or something
I have the same probem with an Acer Aspire 1711 SCi. the Fn+F5 button does not make any difference. Neither does reboot and the Ctrl+Alt+F1
I only use this computer for a charity prsentation son any help would be aprecated. Bernard
I have the same problem connecting to LCD projector. I thought the LCD does not match with the Acer so I looked for an ACER LCD. It didn't work. The solution that the shop where I bought the Acer is lower the resolution. If not I have to bring it to the factory in Paco???

I have also same problem with my Acer aspire 5580 laptop,
The problem is when press ctrl+Alt+F1 it's connecting to projector but my laptop screen is going to off.
When i press CTRL+ALT+F3 projector screen is going off and laptop screen is in visible.
Then How can i get both in visible mode to me???
