I just inherited a Technics SL-BD27 from my parent's basement and it's in great working condition. The only problem is that the ground wire was removed from it and I'm obviously getting much static. I tried rigging one into that small hole beside the RCA inputs on the back but the ground issue remains.
You will more than likely need to wire it up from the inside of the unit, unfortunately. Parts for this model are discontinued. You can also try an iPod cable. As the size is a 1/8" plug - same as an iPod cable, then just cut the other end, and ground to your receiver.

Does the system have to be grounded? I notice a screw in the back of the amplifier that says "ground." I can screw in a wire, but where would the other end be connected to?
