Can not get internet connection....my wireless router works fine for my computer...and the Wii says there is internet but it does not"connect". Error code 51330.

The following Wii error codes all have the same possible solutions, which you can read below this list of codes...

• 51130This is a General Troubleshooting error code and does not have any one specific cause. You'll need to try the following steps to try to solve the problem.
  1. Your wireless router sends out an internet signal using a specific "channel" (much like a radio broadcasts over the airwaves). You can change the "channel" that your wireless router uses to broadcast the internet signal manually. Nintendo suggests setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11, as these are supposed to be the fastest channels for download speed.

• 2. In addition to the broadcasting channel, there is also a broadcast setting. This can be set to either "G", "B", or "Mixed." Nintendo suggests that the "Mixed" setting gives the best network connection, but you might need to try all three settings to get the best network connection.
  3. Home appliances and other devices that are near to your console, like microwaves and cordless phones, might cause interference with your wireless network connection, so try turning these off. Other wireless devices like keyboards and computer mice can also interfere with your network connection.
  

To access the internet with your wii console you'll need either a wireless router/gateway, or a wii wired LAN connector.

1. Power on your Wii console
2. Access the "Wii Setting" menu by selecting the circular wii icon in the bottom left of the screen and then choosing wii settings.
3. Use the arrow on the right of the screen to move to page two, then select "internet".
4. Select "Connection 1 ' None"
5. Choose "Wireless Connection" (assuming you have a wireless router), then select "Search for Access Point".
6. Wait for your wii to scan, then select your wireless network, and if prompted enter your wireless network password/key. Then click "OK".

You should now be able to connect to the internet. If your Wii runs a connection test and it proves unsuccessful it will display an error code. If you get Error Code 51330 or 52130 this means the password you entered does not match the password on the wireless network you are attempting to join. Error Code 52230 means that your router or Internet Service Provider is having difficulty assigning a DNS or IP address to the Wii. What this usually means when you had a connection and it drops is that you aren't getting a clean signal connection between your router and your console. First step, unplug your modem and your router wait 30 seconds and plug them back in. If that doesn't work:

Various factors affect connecting a Wii to the internet with a WiFi connection as well, including signal strength, distance from the wireless router to the console and obstacles such as walls and ceilings that interfere with the signal. If you're using a G router and you have your Wii too far away or, has obstacles (walls and ceilings) in the way, it will not connect. You should use an N-Router if there is a significant distance between the console and the router or if there are obstacles.
In your case it could be the wireless adapter on your computer is interfering with the Wii. Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker.

This error is caused by a wireless router firewall issue.

To solve this error, try to manually setup the Wii console using your network IP settings.

To do a manual setup of the Wii console using your network IP settings :

• On a PC, click Start > Run > type CMD and press Enter > type IPCONFIG/ALL and press Enter. On Windows Vista, click Start > type CMD in the Start Search box > click on CMD icon > type IPCONFIG/ALL and press Enter.
• Locate IP settings and use them to manually set the Wii console.
• Restart your wireless router by unpluging the power from the wall and plugging it back in. Try to connect the Wii console to the internet.

You may also try to disable the wireless router security or firewall. Try again to connect the Wii console to the internet.

Error Code: 32004Please check the following:

1. Satellite Internet often causes this Error Code. You must have a cable or DSL internet connection. Other connection types, such as dial-up and satellite, are typically not compatible. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you are not sure what type of internet connection you have.
2. Ours servers may be trying to handle an unusually high amount of traffic (especially if a new Wii update is available). Please wait a few hours and try the connection again later.
3. Does your internet service provider (ISP) require that you log in whenever you wish to use the internet? If so, your ISP may not be compatible with the Wii console. Please contact your ISP for additional information.

2. Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. Be sure to try both channels if the first one you try does not work. This can potentially increase the download speed. Sounds like you need to configure the PC's USB wireless adaptor. The settings must be the same as the router. If you use a WEP password on the other connections then you need to have the same password on the USB wireless adaptor. Good Luck.

OK what is your wii connecting to some wireless routers cant handle more than one system (computer) next try to move the wii closer to the route, and make sure your wii is not around any thing that creates wireless inter fearinces

Check for the wireless encryption settings associated with this. If you're trying to join a network with "Open" settings to a encrypted network it won't work very well.

try to double check and make sure you've inputted the correct type of password when setting up the internet connection for your wii.i've had the same error code before,and after changing my password setting to wpa-aes passphrase,ergo everything started working perfectly,my wii started connecting to my router and has been working fine ever since.
