The common codes used for Matsui TV are 098 and 178, however if these codes didn't work, please let me know the exact model number of your universal remote control to determine the right/other codes.

Programmable code for SAT/CABLE is _ 801 (Sony Satellite Receiver)
Above stated both codes are common for [SONY KLV-S19A10 _ KLV-S26A10 - KLV-S23A10 AND KLV-S32A10 compactable]. OK.

Sounds like the infamous capacitor problem! File a complaint with the BBB (like I just did) and then write Samsung Electronics America and complain to them (as I will be doing soon). Others are blogging that they have had success in getting Samsung to pay for repairs. Here's their address:
