Agitator appers to be striped out.... Cannot figure out how to remove agitator to see if needs replaced..
On some you won’t see a bolt but if you look at it the white plastic that looks to have a stud in the middle is square and that is the nut you can use a 1/2" extension and ratchet to unscrew it then remove then agitator
Remove cover on agitator. should be a bolt in the center.this is not common.check the gears in the agitator first.remember this agitator only goes one way.

I have the same problem but I don't see a bolt under the cover of the agitator (I have removed the cover and the seal and I see a plastic piece centered on what appears similar to the head of a nail.)
My agitator acts like it is partially stripped. With a heavy load the agitator makes a sound like plastic gears are rubbing and won't turn. When I run a light load, the agitator catches and moves - most of the time, but seems to slip once in a while. I can cause the same thing when turning it by hand. Anyway, it sounds like the mechanism needs replacing and I just haven't been able to figure out how to remove it.
