Oven not working! Belling 614 format

Just moved in, no manual. Top oven is fine, main oven wont heat up and the fan only works sometimes. Display flashes up 0.00 and AUTO alternately and a previous solution advised me to set the timer. I will look up how to do this, but surely if the main oven will only work with the timer set, the top oven shouldnt work either?

Hi

I have the same problem with my belling oven. Top oven, hobs and grill work fine but the bottom oven doesn't come on at all, not even the fan. Somebody suggested the timer but I have no manual. Did you fix yours in the end? Any advice would be appreciated.

ISOLATE THE MAINS POWER BEFORE CHECKING THE APPLIANCE
Run your fingers along the grill element, in this model it is accessible, check for raised areas or small hole or roughness not food burnt, if visible, it should be Black Grey colour at the blemish, you can obtain parts from www.whitegoods.co.uk you will need the model and serial numbers.
The grill elements come out but when unsrewed sometimes the ceramic holders crack, remove element before ordering as you may have to replace the element holders.

1, If the Belling fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the BELLING element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your BELLING fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your BELLING oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your BELLING oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

You need to replace the oven element, it is located at the rear of the oven behind a removeable panel.

Fan oven wont heat up

If fan is workintg, but no heat, then replace oven element.
If no heat or fan, then make sure timer is set on manual and not on auto

I really need some help , a family member has given me a belling format 661 , the hob and the top oven works but the actual oven doesnt at all the fan isnt moving and there is no heat .

If it has a timer, make sure it is set to manual.
If it is digital try resetting timer, if anologue then a hand symbol should be showing.

Just brought belling xou594 double oven the top oven is working fine but the main oven is not the fan will not come on nor the light is there a fault

BELLING XOU252 WHEN IT IS SWITCHED ON IT TRIPS THE MAINS ALL WIRES SEEM TO BE GOING TO EARTH.

Oven won't work!

timer must be set to any time of day for ovens to work, niormally you need to press either 2 or 3 buttons together to set time, if this fails you need to bypass the timer ele ctrically
