These are the steps on how to program your RCA Universal Remote Control to your Symphonic TV.
Press and "HOLD"
CODE SEARCH.
Press and release the TV button. When the TV button flashes proceed to the next step.
Enter the three digit
code. In your case, the code for the Symphonic TV are 064 or 076.
Release CODE SEARCH.
With the TV on, press another button, for example CHANNEL
UP. If
the TV responds, no further programming is required. If the TV
does not respond, repeat steps 1-5 using the other code number.
usually has to be on channel 3 then use the tv/vcr button on your remote.if you are already using this for a vcr then you need to program the dvd on another alternate.Best results is to get a universal remote and program tv/vcr/dvd seperate.
Go to Radio Shack and get an universal remote control, mine is a Phillips Universal and just program it to your tv. It has a tv/vcr input to let you switch to the right "input"/channel.
I went to add/delete channels in my menu on my symphonic and it let me scroll through the channels, make sure you have them all set to add (by pushing the volume buttons to make them light blue instead of purple)....after adding all of your channels (or just the one if you use dish) just power the tv off while on a channel and then power back on and you should have tv.
First of all try getting a Symphonic remote - http://www.miracleremote.com/ not that expensive. Then you can access all areas of the TV, including all sub menus and see how the audio is set-up.. Could be you have it in SAP mode, (Second Audio Programming), in which case you will hear nothing...
