Get auxilary cables (red and white) and connect another DVD to the Bose system. Use Video 2 for DVD on the Bose system). Connect another set of cables to the TV from the Bose system and use Vidoe 1 for sound through the TV. This process should cost less than $20.00 if you already have another DVD player.

I cant get my dvd player to power off so that my tv can come back on. I keep hearing the dvd player make a sound but off is constantly displaying on it. I cant get my tv back on and i keep hit the power...

Remove the power and manually turn the loading mechanism to eject the DVD whichis struck up inside the player. Now if the DVD circuit seems to hang up again you can disconnect the connector to the main board to switch on the TV.

Sony dvd player will not eject disc: "Disk Error" displays on screen then it will try to load over and over. It will not respond to open?

Try unplugging and re-plugging. If the does not work try to start the Player without letting it load. i.e. give it a separate command before trying to eject disc.

Stuck dvd tray

There are many ways to eject a DVD. Try this.

Shut down the computer (complete power off, not restart)
Hold down the left button (Apple mouse?)
Push the power button
Keep holding the mouse button down until it either ejects or the grey pinwheel appears. (It's not an instant process)

Usually, eject/F12 will open the drive up. If that does not work try.
Open terminal and use the command "drutil tray eject"

You can also try command-option O + F and type"eject cd"
If none of this works your drive may be bad or the power cord is loose. You will need to open it up or seek professional service.

Dvd won't play or eject

If you want to get the dvd out
you can try this:
First turn of you dvd player at the mains, Then power it up, But the moment it powers up press the eject button a few times so it doesn't start to load. If it doesn't work the first time try it one more time since you may not get the hang of it at first.
then you dvd should eject.
With dvd players like this, corrupt, copied or really scratched dvds may make your dvd player do this.

DVDR 3350H KEEP READING AND WON'T EJECT DISC

Look under the faceplate where the disc tray ejects and see if there is a small hole. If so, use a straightened paper clip to eject the disc manually by pushing it into the hole about an inch. If that works, then reset the power on the unit and try a nonrecorded type disc to see if the unit works at all.

Other than that, you'll have to take the unit apart to get your disc out.

Hope that helps...

PROBLEM WITH MY DVD-HDD VIDEO RECORDER

Yes there is a high probability that the 5v power supply has suffered damage. Anyways just check if the drive is ejecting properly without placing any DVD. If it doesn't then its confirmed that the ps is the culprit. try it and let me know..

Dvd eject button does not respond

Had a similar problem after loading a suspect dvd (one I had buned myself) Could not do anything - stuck at loading.
Try this :
  1. Unplug and wait 10 seconds
  2. plug it back in and wait 1 minute. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS!
  3. With the machine still in the standby state, press eject on the REMOTE. It should eject without trying to read the disk.

Good luck. It worked for me.
