Actually my problem is whenever iam signing into the yahoo messenger and thru that iam calling my parents by using logitech usb type headphones on my thoshiba laptop then my speaker volume is going to lower or mute and my microphone and wave options in speaker volume section going to mute condition i.e., they are going to ticked as mute.
why this problem occuring idont know plz help me.
Kill logitech for not supplying a driver.. laziness
Go into your sound controls and disable any other playback/recording hardware besides the logitech headset. Yahoo will still mute the headset but you can put the volume back up and start using it. Cheap work around but it works for me. I found that when using the headset, yahoo was trying to use my onboard sound devices instead of the headset.

hi, i am not getiing that call sign in yahoo messenger. i had downloaded 9.0 yahoo messenger. earlier it was working but once i had formated c drive after that i am not able to call anyone.

If i make a call in yahoo messenger the volume is either mute (with messenger 9.0) or very low (in Messenger 8.1). My computer speaker volume is at maximum and all other computer sound-related activities are fine. I live abroad and use messenger to contact frineds at home, so can someone please help.
