After changing teh coil did you check the gap between coil and kly wheel and as colin said if you spray wd 40 when trying start at the inlet carb if thers a split then the reves wil rev

It's the air inlet manifold where it joins from the air inlet to the carb and manifold to the carb you will def find a small split I have had the same problem ps hope this helps

Things to check: 1. Make sure the coil is grounded to the frame of the quad. Not against a painted part of the frame but a raw metal part. 2. The stator could be bad. 3. Could be out of time. I would try these things first, hope this helps. Good luck.

Weak fire on pocket bike
Hi, I do a lot with these bikes, I think if you are getting a weak spark there is a couple things to check. First, do you understand how it builds the power to create the spark? The magnet in the flywheel has to be very close to the magnito or coil, if the gap is too much it will cause a weak spark, if the magnet is weak, weak spark, if the coil is shorting internally, weak spark. If the plug wire is damaged, weak spark. I hope this helps you.

I have an apache 100cc it kick 1st time but when I cut out its hard to re start sometimes is doesnt start up again til next day. I've changed the spark plug, carburettor and ignition coil and still the same. Has a full tank of petrol, fresh oil and 2 stroke. Plus when it does start it doesn't move at all. I have no idea what else I can do any help please? Much appreciate

50cc Apache quad. Started the first few times with the kick start and now it has suddenly stopped starting

My apache rlx 450 sport Quad bike keeps cutting out when at stand still.
i have the same quad with the same problem,its done every experts head in,take the seat off and look down the left hand side of the inlet manifold there should be a small peice of rubber hose about an inch or so,check to see if it has a screw in it or a plug if not put a screw in it,it will then rev higher just turn the rev screw on the right of the carb outwards untill tick over is about 1700rpm

Apache rlx300 wont start spitting back through carb
check spark,timing from side case side,then swap spark plug,try to bypass spark cap,then check flow of petrol to carb,clean carb and allow to cool if needed.Sometimes a coil just dies for no apparent reason..The last resort is to swap the coil inside the side case...

Quad bike wont start, just turns over
To check the spark put the spark plug in the cap and rest the tip of the spark plug on the head of the engine and crank it over. You should see a strong spark.
(Remember doing this creates electricity so don't touch the tip)
