I just recieved a Moldavo Men's Junior Sport (Model # 0605105 with certificate of authenticity) as an award -- but the instructions didn't bother explaining how to put the watch on!

For any hidden clasp band, see this web page (excerpt below):
http://www.worldofwatches.com/cust/sizingwatch.asp?d=0

Refer to the "Hidden Clasp" diagram and follow the instructions under the diagram:

I cant open my brand new watch ...HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP - cad9c3e.jpg To open this clasp, reach under the bracelet band and lift upwards. The band extends to allow for easy removal.

I believe the Movado Kardelo has a push-button clasp:

This clasp opens when buttons on each side of the bracelet band are pushed, then the band extends to allow for easy removal

Right where it looks together underneath, reach under the band between band and flat piece and LIFT. Kind of like your lifting the band off off the flat plate piece.

How to exchange leather straps for almost any watch brand

Most of the people are pretty sure that when their watch leather straps are worn out they have to replace them with new ones, made by exactly the same brand as their watch brand is. This is completely wrong. About 95% of all watch brand models can be fitted with leather straps from any watch strap producer without loosing brands identity. All you have to do is: 1. Release the strap from the watch; 2. Measure the width of the strap where the spring bar (pin) goes through and write it down or memorize it; 3. Undo the buckle/clasp; 4. Measure the width of strap in place where the buckle/clasp was fitted and write it down or memorize it; 5. Measure the length of the strap (both parts together) and write it down or memorize it. Now you have everything you need for strap replacement. Visit any shop selling leather straps or even find it on the internet. You will find thousands of different colours, patterns and leather variations. The choice is yours. Just one thing to remember: The strap you are buying must match all the measurements you took of your original strap. This is not difficult to match, as the watch straps usually are made to global standards. When you have your new strap delivered, just fit it to your watch and undo the buckle/clasp that came with it. Fit your old, original buckle/clasp on to the new strap and you are done. Most watch manufacturers impress, engrave or laser engrave their logos on buckles/clasps, not on the leather straps itself. So, when you fit the original buckle/clasp on brand new strap of different make, it becomes the original strap of the watch you own. And nobody knows that the strap is, for example, from Hong Kong, but watch is from Switzerland (except you, of course} as they look together as one nicely designed piece and the buckle/clasp works as the proof of identity. In case if your watch has some unusually shaped fixing for the strap, this shape can be easily cut in to the strap by modellers scalpel. At the very end I just want to remind to all readers: Watch straps sold under watch brand names are 2-10 times more expensive. In fact - they are not produced by watch manufacturers themselves, but in Italy, Germany, China and Hong Kong and then sent to watch manufacturers. Just because these straps were fitted to the watches and the buckles or clasps were added to them, these straps automatically becomes their brand straps and cost a lot, lot more. Hope it helps to save your hard earned money.

The clasp on my steel watchband pulls away from the band creating a large gap. it looks bad and catches on things. what do i do?

You need to make sure that if you had the watch band adjusted they did not adjust it at the clasp. When you adjust the watchband links should be removed if you adjust it at the clasp the band keeps pulling open. When you open the clasp fully make sure the pins are on the end holes. If the pins are in the end holes then, the clasp is probably sprung somehow and you will need a new one or have a jeweler or watch repairman fix it! You may also be able to order a new clasp from manufacturer! Hope this helps!!

Tag Heuer "link" woman's watch-- can't open clasp!

You just have to pull with more force. Decent watch brands always make clasps very tight.

Hello, I have received a just bling womans watch as a gift and can't figure out how to put the wrist ********. Just bling/ JB 6210 serial #17861854

Your watch has double folding clasp and it is opening by pulling bracelet exactly in the middle of clasp. Some clasps are very stiff, so, use a bit of force to open it. Here is the link where you can see how the opened clasp looks:

How do i remove a link from the watch band?

hi friend,
step 1
Measure the watch band's length. Every wrist size is different, and there's no need to remove all of the links when you may only need to remove one or two. Putting the watch around your wrist and pinching each link around it to see how much room you need gives the jewelry wearer a reasonable estimate.
  • Step 258782_65x95_aspect.jpg Open the watch near the link you want to remove. Link watches have several openings, so even if you open the wrong clasp, it can always be reattached.
  • Step 358783_65x95_aspect.jpg Flick the tip of your fingernail inside the clasp to open the extra links. Continue doing so until you have removed all of the links that are too big for your wrist. If you have short fingernails, try using tweezers or anything with a sharp edge that can easily unfasten a link. New watches tend to be very stiff, so it may take a little nudging, but the links come off. It will be obvious which ones come off and which ones don't by looking at the back of the watch band. The links that come off have a claw on the tip of each one and sometimes have the brand name on top of it.
  • Step 458784_65x95_aspect.jpg Put the extra links in a safe place. There may come a time that you either let someone else borrow the watch or your wrist swells and you need these links again.
  • jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); Tips & Warnings
    • If you can't get the links to open, visit a jewelry repair store. Workers there may be willing to help you adjust your watch for free. If you bought the watch from a retail store, the jewelry counter is usually required to adjust your watch for no additional cost.
    hope this helps u

How to open Baume & Mercier Hampton Milleis ladies stainless band

Looking at your watch it looks like the clasp on the SS model is just a double deployant preasure fit. If it is brand new sometimes these style of deployants are vary tight.

It is Stainless Steel it is vary difficult to break it looking at the construction of the bracelet.

Basically you just Pull, there is no button it is just pressure fit.

    I need help

It probibly is a tri-fold clasp or a "hiding clasp" When you look at you watch can you see a clasp? If not you just need to pull from the middle if the back of the band. One end will open to the left another will open to the right. Don't be afraid to pull on it, that probibly is the main problem your having. Movado makes a solid band that can take some punishment

    Citizen Eco-Drive mens watch

Hi if it is anything like the other eco watches ---------
just under the clasp that lifts up you will find a little button, it is about 2mm long and there is one on either side, push these in with your thumb and index finger and it should release the clasp.
When you close it up,you will feel it `pop` back home again.
