i plug it in and the buttons light up- but then i push them and nothing happens! any help is much appreciated I am having a similar problem:

plug in lights up set cycles filled and that was itplug in lights up set cycles filled and that was it

Kenmore front loader. The wash cycle stopped in the middle of washing a small load of wash.I pressed the buttons on the front panel and no lights show up. Can't get it to started. Door is locked and my clothes are stuck inside the washer. Tried pulling the plug and nothing happens. HELP!!Kenmore front loader. Our Maytag MAV 8000 top loader suddenly will not start. Has power to outlet, has power to washer control panel. Does not send power to motor from panel indicating trouble in control panel.
I think it may be a bad timer but other than repair shop have no way to know for sure.

hello. if it don't turn then it could be the brushes on the motor also check the interlock on the door. any spin problems could be the module control board get back to me if you still have problems
open and close the lid a few times. can you hear any clicking noises, you should hear the lid engaging the lid switch. if the machine doent think lid is closed it wont funtion( safety reasons)
