I turn on the monitor ,it stays on for about 10 seconds then turns off ,only the blue light that indicates thew power is on ,black screen ..is it fixable ??

I disagree with ikkenom only due to the symptom of the flashing blue light. This would indicate to me that the monitor is not getting any display signal and is in sleep mode at least the is what happens on my Samsung monitor. Used to be that they use a two color led in the monitor, green when ON and getting display signal and amber or orange when in sleep mode. I would check the computer by trying a different monitor. If you have a second monitor, great, if not, maybe a friend will let you bring your computer over and try the computer with their monitor. Could also be a display adapter setting. Do you get any change when you first turn on your computer? i.e. Do you get the BIOS or manufacturer screen when first turned on? Also if you disconnect the monitor cable from the computer and power cycle the monitor, do you get a No Signal display for a few seconds before the monitor goes black and the blue light starts flashing?

Let me know what happens with the testing above or if you need further instructions to carry out testing.

A blacked-out screen doesn't necessarily indicate a broken monitor.
If the computer has run out of charge or is in hibernation or sleep mode, if the screen is too dark, or if the display cable has come disconnected from the motherboard, the screen may appear black or fail to turn on. To fix a blacked-out laptop screen, troubleshoot the screen settings, check the LCD connector and see if the computer is awake and receiving power.
Touch the touchpad or move the external mouse to see if the computer is asleep or hibernating. If the computer fails to respond, press "Enter" on the keyboard. Press the power button if the screen remains black.

Confirm that the power indicator light, found at the front of the computer or above the keyboard, is glowing solid green or blue. Confirm that the power adapter is plugged into the computer and into a wall outlet. Confirm that battery indicator light is glowing solid green or blue. Hold down the "Fn" key. Press the up-arrow to see if the screen brightness increases.
Some computers also use the "F6" or "F7" keys to increase screen brightness. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the laptop.
Remove the AC adapter from the computer, close the screen, and then turn the PC over. Slide the battery latch to eject the battery. Pull the battery out of its compartment. Turn the computer back over, open the lid, and insert the edge of a flathead screwdriver or other flat, solid object beneath the bezel above the keyboard. Wedge the edge of the keyboard bezel off of the top cover.
Work your way along the edge of the keyboard bezel to loosen it.
Pull the bezel off the laptop. Trace the cable coming from the laptop screen to the connector found beneath the bezel. Reconnect the display cable to the motherboard if the cable has come loose from the connector. Line up the tabs on the bezel with the slots along the top of the keyboard. Insert the right edge of the bezel into the gap above the keyboard, and then push the bezel back in place. Turn the computer back on. If the laptop screen is still blacked out, connect an external monitor to the video port on the side of the PC to confirm that the video card isn't defective. If the external monitor works, the LCD screen could be broken. If the monitor doesn't work, the motherboard or video card might need to be replaced.

hi how about the power light indicator does stay?. if no, it was a power supply failure. if the light stay then no display totally black it could be either the back light, inverter board or in the logic board ( main board ). to isolate the problem you will need a digital tester, to check turn the power on then check the inverter_on signal if their is a voltage around 4vdc and have a 12v dc supply then the logic board is good. it was an inverter board failure, check for shorted component.

try removing the battery and removing the adaptor press and hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds then let got this will power drain your system board noy turn the system on using the battery only without any adaptors to charge or power the system, try turning the system on if the system turnes on leave it turned on for a couple of hours then conenct your sysem adaptor monitor if the battery light and the battery indicator on the lower right of the screen in windows woll indicate that the system is chargin if it is then I believe everything should be fine the blue indicator is for your system if it is blue then your system is turned on and has power if it turned orange and blnking then the battery will be more likely be almost out of juice or may need charging.
