K850i,contrct from 3 ended got phone unlocked put in new sim to start new contrct, every thing works but txt . wont send or recieve ???? new network says my phone is bust tried new sim in other phone and txt worked sounds like the phone but friends disagree

Firstly to unlock blackberry storm , you have to make sure that you started unlocking with putting different sim card other than your network provider and check with your network provider about settings if you are using GSM network.

when you said you had it unlocked, it means that the phone has been flashed. meaning, its either can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how good the technician (or the program he used) to unlock your phone. just try the original simcard (or the same network provider), use it again, if that works, it means that the phone has not been unlocked and still wont accept other network sim. if it doesnt work on the same simcard and on other simcards at all, i strongly suggest to send it back to the tech who unlocked it for you.

There can be many ways to Unlock your phone.
As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safest way.unlock using software delete some information in memory i unlock my phone using codes ,i got codes from http://www.superunlockcodes.com/
I used codes to unlock my cell phone. i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.

i have samsung c3050 orange had it unlocked to be able to use o2 sim about 3 months ago all ok till today . phone wont let me phone out or receive calls and also with texts as well just keeps saying words to the effect of error even though i still have credit on phone. i know sim is ok as tryed in another phone will be glad if you cauld help .... from tony

take the battery out of your phone. remove the SIM card. put the sim card back in and put the battery back on and then turn your phone back on. that should fix the problem

You need to get the correct and full data settings from whatever network provider the sim card is registered to, then make sure when they arrive to your mob. that you go into options of the data txt and install. This should/will sort out your issues.

i have a sony ericson k850i and for some reason the email for sending and recieving everything keeps comeing up operation failed

Contact your network for a warranty repair on the handset every mobile phone purchased has a warranty period of at least 1 year and this covers only manufacturing faults . when you contact your network you will be required to go through some checks just to make sure that it is faulty and that it was a manufacturers fault .

But before calling your network leave the phone swithced on and remove the battery and the sim card .
Put the battery back in without the sim .
Turn the phone on .
When the phone has loaded remove the battery whilst the phone is on .
Replace the sim and the battery and see if this has fixed your problem .  If not you will need a repair

Try holding down Menu-jump to get to the emergency screen. Then hold down on menu-shift-Q and release. It will ask if you want to reset phone. IT WILL RESET AND DELETE EVERYTHING!!!!. It will be like new. Except sim. This works with sidekick 2, not sure with others.

perhaps the phone was reported lost/ stolen by the previous owner... if that is the case, the phone would lock, and not be able to work
