I need to install my printer on my labtop and i dont have the disc

Go to the manufacturer's website and download the driver for it on your pc

You will need the crossover cable. Set the IP address on the printer (MFP)to whatever you want ( I usually use an easy 192.168.1.1) and the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 (make sure you power cycle the machine when you enter a new IP Address into it so it will "take"). The Gateway should be the same as on your laptop (go to dos prompt and type in ipconfig for that info). When you set up the computer, you will need to run the install disc that came with the printer, and it will set up the IP address.

A router won't actually need a disc. You should be able to access all your settings from entering http://192.168.2.1 into your browsers address bar.

well one you have installed the printer and don't wish to use it .you don't have to plug it in at all times. but every time u need to use the prinyer u have to restart ur computer in order that ur computer can detect the device. pleasure helping u.

The drivers that were on the CD probably won't work on your new laptop anyway. You can download the latest drivers here (use the box to select your Operating System -- Windows XP, etc.).

You can purchase ink online here. The BC-10 is a black ink only cartridge, and the BCI-10 is the replacement ink tank. The BC-11 is a cartridge with both black and color ink, and the replacement ink tanks are the BCI-11bk and BCI-11clr.
