Typically error code F7 indicates that your Frigidaire range is experiencing a failure with either the potentiometer or UIB (User Interface Board). Let's try resetting you range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually clears most false error codes. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your appliance. If the error code persists, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.
Good Morning Marlon, I am happy to assist you. Typically error
code F7 indicates that there is a failure with either the potentiometer or UIB
(User Interface Board). Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping
the household circuit breaker off. This usually clears most false error codes. It
is important to wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not
clear, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further to ensure
the appropriate replacement part is order and is installed correctly to prevent
future issues. I hope this information helps to some degree - thanks for
your question, and please do not hesitate to reconnect.
F7
Lock motor relay watchdog circuit is active when it should be off
Microprocessor checking the operation of the EDC lock, relay failed. Replace EDC. Hope this is helpful, I will also provide you a link to to a helpful site.
in version 1 of your model, F7 requires the replacement of the EDC (electronic door control) in later versions F7 requires the replacement of the EOC (electronic oven control)
There's a lot of info missing here, but any tech should be able to tell you what the F7 indicates. Each F code indicates a specific problem. In my case, an F-1 indication which says the circuit board has a problem, was resolved easily by fixing a problem with the momentary contact convection oven switch. You may have a faulty switch like that which could be causing the problem--in all likelihood, it was NOT a circuit board problem. If it was, then it was caused by another problem somewhere else, and they owe you a new circuit board, and a repair on whatever is causing the circuit board to fail. But more than likely they owe you a refund for the board you bought, and a fix on whatever is causing the problem....
