I have a DI-524 router. Our xbox 360 nat won't stay open

I have a DI-524 router. My son has xbox 360. The problem is that the NAT on xbox 360 keeps changing from open to moderate. When this happens he can not play games. It must be on open at all times to play. I unplug the router then it goes back to open. This is frustrating especially when he in the middle of a game and he loses connection. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If you have other comps running while he is playing, especially streaming, there may not be enough bandwidth.

XBOX 360 strict NAT problem

Make sure you also open the ports on your router. IF you have all the appropriate ports open and still have strict NAT, it's more than likely your ISP and you should give them a call.

How do i change my NAT connection from moderate to open

This one is simple. Find the IP address that your Xbox is assigned by your router, then put it into the DMZ. This also goes for PS3 users who are having trouble with internet access.

NAT

Everyone has NAT, whether its strict (which i'm guessing yours is) mederate, or open.

Open NAT can be achieved by buying a new router or connecting your 360 via ethernet to your modem. If you connect it to your modem, restart both the modem and your 360 and you WILL have an open NAT
