I have a MITONE multi user MP3 player, one of the my family member software files are formatted, please tell me next solution for install the software??
My main problem is that I'm an idiot.... I can't blame any family members. I managed to format my MITONE MITMP20 MP3 player. Now it's totally dead. I need to reinstall the software, firmware...
I don't care if it ends up exactly like it was - I'd just like to have an mp3 (and mp4) player...

I have the exact same player. At first it would only play the first 180 songs even though it had over 300 stored. then all of a sudden it would switch off when certain songs were selected. The picture viewer never worked, neither did the text reader or the video player. Itried to format it but it only made it worse. Now it won't even turn on. If anyone has any idea on where the firmware can be downloaded, please let me know. Otherwise the address of the manufacturer, I'd really like to sue them for selling fake merchandise.I have the exact same player. I got pretty excited when I got an email promising a solution. Got pretty bummed out when I realized it was just another problem - very much like my own. Oh, well. My problem is that my Mitone player (MITMP18) first began to freeze and finally failed to start and yet it was still new.
so igave it to a friend to try it out for me and he told me that the usb cable has a problem. i bought another one bt the problems has persisted.
Kindly help me cause i love it big time it is so unique and very inspiring to me. will be grateful.

Firmware on the Russian here (English supports) http://ftp.roverbook.com/RoverMedia/Aria_Q7 there two different versions of firmware for the assembly player (one can work with bugs)
Methodology firmware: 1. Disable USB cable, turn off player. 2. Holding down "M" connect the USB cable. 3. The menu select 3 - y para (other then USB disk), clicking the right analog stick. 4. The system will appear logical disk 2. First at 16 mb, second - remaining FLASH memory. 5. Copy invested in this archive 5 files on 16 - MB removable disk (all except reame.txt). 6. Turn off the player through the safe extraction devices.

Hi I have mitmp15. It is still in working condition. I don't know how different mitmp20 is from 15. Apart from the directory structure, there is a hidden file in the root... which I can provide (mail me at - s h i b u n AT s o n i m t e c h .com )...... See if it helps you guys...

To resolve this issue, try the following solutions:
SOLUTION 1 - For brand new player or first time connecting to this computer.
For Windows XP users: verify the following operating system requirements are met. - Windows XP SP2 or higher - Windows Media Player 10 or higher
Download and install the latest Windows Media Player if it's not installed.
For Windows Vista users: If the player is seen in My Computer when using MTP mode, but not showing in Windows Media Player. - Download the hotfix from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939211. - Run the hotfix.

SOLUTION 2 - Refresh the driver
STEP 1 - Connect the Sansa player to the PC The screen on your player should turn on, show 'Connected' and indicate the battery charging or full. - If the player does not turn on try other USB ports or on another computer if one is readily available. Ensure you are connecting directly to the computer USB port and not to a USB hub. - If there is nothing showing on the screen and the player does show up in as a storage device in an explorer window, then the screen is just not working.
If you receive the error "USB Device Not Recognized" on the computer, the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.
STEP 2 - Check under Device Manager 1. Right-click My Computer, and select Manage. Image 2. Click Device Manager on the left pane. Image
NOTE: Sansa MP3 Players can connect to your computer in MSC or MTP mode. Exceptions are mitone mp4 player Connect and mitone mp4 player Express which only use MTP mode. MTP mode is the recommended and default method for mitone mp4 player Players when used with Windows OS.
The mitone mp4 player player will show up on Device Manager's right pane as: 1. USB Mass Storage device (if the player is set to MSC) 2. Portable Device (if the player is set to MTP mode)
If there is a yellow exclamation point (!) or question mark (?) beside the device, try to refresh the drivers.
STEP 3 - Refresh the drivers 1. Right-click the entry with the error mark, select Uninstall. 2. On the top menu, click Action then select Scan for hardware changes.
NOTE: If a device with yellow exclamation point (!) continually appears and disappears, then the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.
SOLUTION 3 - Connect using MSC mode Connecting in MSC mode will help determine if there is a problem with MTP mode or with the Auto Detect mode feature of the player. You can use Forced MSC mode or switch the player settings to MSC.
If the player is detected in MSC mode but not when set to MTP mode, try to update or reinstall the mitone mp4 player firmware
NOTE: mitone mp4 player Express and mitone mp4 player Connect do not have MSC mode. For mitone mp4 player Connect you can try reinstalling the firmware using the Connect Recovery Mode.
Additional troubleshooting notes: If you have replaced the mitone mp4 player Player and you still have problems getting it to recognize in the computer, then you may need to try some additional troubleshooting. - Try connecting on another computer. - Try using a different USB cable - Try connecting to the back USB ports which may supply better power. - If only MTP mode is not working, try reinstalling Windows Media Player For Windows XP try also download and install the MTP Porting Kit.

lets say you at least copied the software from the ipod...(well if you did not... you wiped it clean by formatting).. okay do you have a friend, family member or next door neighbor that has the same Ipod (that you can copy the software only)...
how to copy software 1 connect ipod to pc... Itunes will load up (x it out, close it) 2 go to my computer see the device click on it... copy the software and hidden also (you will not see any media files) 3 paste all the software to temp file on the pc 4 disconnect the borrowed IPOD, and connect your IPOD 5 copy all software from temp file and paste to IPOD 6 disconnect, close out my computer, plug back in, give it a 1 or 2 mins (if Itunes do not open, then open manually and see the new ipod)
please note you must have the latest Itunes version
Mitone MITMP25 plays only videos in MTV format, so you should use the software included to convert all videos into MTV format before you can play those. See page 21 in user manual :-)
if you formatted your mp3 (you deleted not only the musical files, but the software to run your mp3)...if by any chance this is true and a friend / family member of yours have the same exact mp3 player. you can ask can you copy their software............this what you do, take their mp3 plug it up to your pc (copy only the software check for hidden files also)...disconnect the mp3 and give them back their mp3 (we dont need it anymore)...plug your mp3 to your pc and copy all the software data from pc, you just copied ....on to the mp3...and put your music back (put all M. Jax (R.I.P.)) ...........if this is helpful feel free to rate
