your stereo should have come with a wiring diagram for it that at least tells you what color wire is what coming out of the stereo just match up the colors/signals per this chart: This for for a typical ford- http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Ford-Wiring.pdf

My dad is trying to fix his 1991 ford explorer and said it ws the fuel pump but then it didnt turn on so then they told him it was the duralast/relay-fuel pump .. but how do you install that?

the fuel pump relay is under the hood, I can't tell you for sure which relay it is I usually look at a wiring diagram and match it by wire colors. It could also be the inertia fuel cut off switch which is a safety device to cut the fuel pump off in a rollover accident. I've seen people accidentally kick these which will trip them or even kick the plug loose which cuts power to the pump. they are usually located in the center front under the dash or behind one of the kick panels on the side of the floorboard. if it's tripped the button will be popped up just push it back in and it will reconnect the power supply. it's also possible the relay under the hood got water in it and fried but it's hard to say for sure.

Shutters smokes like crazy idles bad loss of

what color is the smoke if it is blue it is from oil which indicates a lot of oil is getting into the combustion chamber & being burnt which means you have a serious problem ( either rings or valve guides & seals) if it is black it is excessive fuel & you have a problem with the carburetor, maybe sticking needle & seat or the float has a hole in it & has filled up with petrol or fuel injectors which ever your vehicle has ...........cheershope this helps....

I need help wiring a kenwood cd player into a 1991 ford explorer

Here is a link for your explorer

http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Ford-Wiring.pdf

and there should be a diagram on the back of the kenwood deck which would explain the deck side. if not your main power should be yellow = Constant 12V for clock
Red = Ignition 12V switch turn on the deck
Black = Ground
blue purple green white= for speakers

solid color = to positive on speakers
color with black stripe = negative on speakers

I would solder and heatshrink all connections Good luck

Ok my explorer was broken into and they stole my cd player but cut my factory wiring harness off so i need help hooking up another cd player to the factory wires without the plug

I suggest you go to a junk yard find another 2000 Explorer. Cut the radio wires and plug out of that truck. Then just match up the colors and attach that plug to your truck. I would suggest soldering the wires together to avoid problems down the line. Good Luck!

Gauges dont work after new cd player install

you will have to go to the gm garage and ask for the wiring diagram to match the wires up. but the way to fix it the right way is to go to the junk yard and cut the harness out of a car and splice the wires back together then go to wall mart or best buy to get the right wiring adapter then you can match them colors up to your new radios wires and plug into your car

Left Front:

How to install an alpine cda 9851

you go to a stereo shop..(walmart autozone etc should also do) buy a mounting kit and a wire harness adapter. The wire colors on the adapter match the wire colors of most aftermarket decks. MAtch the wire colors and connect...make sure to tape wires well as if they touch you rick damage to your deck.. install the mount kit plug in your cd player and slide it in and you are good to go..
