Problem inAOC LM725 monitor

the AOC , connected to what.? a PC ,what PC
some PC has video control app that is bad.
called DCC2 or eDid controls to the monitor. GONE MAD?
if PC is windows, ? is it, put it in to safe mode
see if stops this.
and or, create a 2nd user, then log off and back on as 2nd user.
still fails>?
ok last, is in task manager is startup box.
in that box disable all start ups there.
or
ungrade the video card driver at AMD or Nvidia as it may be.

No, all you need to do is reset the monitor to factory settings. I fixed mine that way.
If your monitor goes off every 3 seconds (like mine did) you have to be fast or siwtch it on/off few times between the steps to get it fixed.

- 1st. unlock the OSD if when you press 'menu' you get the message 'OSD Locked'. To do this switch off the monitor, and press 'menu' while you switch it on again.

- 2nd. Switch it on, press 'menu' and quickly 'press '<' (left) twice and 'menu' twice to get it reset.

- 3rd switch it off and on again and if still goes off after 3/4 secs, try to reset it again.

I reset mine and it is working find. Before it went blank after 3 secs.

I just tried this because I did not understand why if it was a hardware problem I could see the screen for 2/3 seconds and if pressed on/off it came back, it made no sense as a hardware problem.

AOC brand are disposable, now if your going repair its chips, its definitely work or not... i tell you this monitor is very deliquate to work normally.... buy a new one...

Ok what I need to know is if with the screen cable that goes to the back of your computer if there is an additional cable colored green if so you need to plug that into the back of your computer and then you should have sound. If there is no sound then please click on the sound icon at the bottom right of the screen and open up the mixer and see what device you have selected for the sound to go out of. If you have the option to please select the playback device that would go to your screen. If that doesn't work then contact customer support for your screen and see what they can do for you. Let me know if this help.

Change the monitor and check if the PC works. If it works then the problem is with the monitor, you will have to send it to repair. If not then, the problem should be with the power supply, check whether all the cables is kept intact.

OK WELL DID YOU UNPLUG IT FOR A LIL WHILE? IF NOT DO SO. IF PROBLEM STILL THERE HOOK IT TO A DIFFERENT CPU AFTER ALL IS DONE HIT ME BACK

try looking for bloated caps, check all diodes... see if its not shorted/leaking and finally check the power regulator ic if its not shorted! note: some capacitors and diodes are very tiny, you should use a lens with good amount of light...



if it does not help..... well, what the hell? try pouring some gas, then light it up! that should solve the problem, at least it turned on right? hehehehe!

I've had a very similar issue on many Dell Monitors. Mine have been under warranty and they usually send me a new monitor, but I believe the issue lies with the power supply within the monitor.
