No problem, This issued will be only resolve with regular TV's, not LCD or PLASMA Tv's. Just press TV botton locate on the top leftside of the remote, right after hold the SETUP button for 3 seconds once the TV botton blink twice go and press 991 then 1 again, right after you have pressed 991 the TV botton will blink twice and when you press 1 will blink twice as well, after those steps keep pressing the channel up botton until your Tv shut off. That will work. Good luck
there are a couple of ways to go about it... you can either do a code search with the remote by pressing the tv button then hold down the setup button until the tv button blinks twice. Then press 991 the tv light will blink again then press 1 and then power. then you would press the channel up button until the tv turns off. Then press set up and that will lock in the code. If you pass the code and the tv will not power back on through the remote repeat the same process but press the oppisite channel direction. The other option is search google for your tv code.
The Insignia is-tv040919 is a Cytron and the code is 11326. But no Comcastmultifunction
remote contains that code -- so you cannot enter it manually and the
991 search function will not find it. I discovered the make and code by
the serendipity of having a cable box with a multifunction remote and
several DTAs with the small, black two function remotes. I first installed the Insignia on a DTA
and the remote programmed quickly. I just moved that tv to the room
with the cable box with the multifunction remote and mayhem ensued. I got an $8
RCA 3 function remote today and it's working great on the Comcast cable box, a DVD player and, drum roll please, our old friend the is-tv040919.
