I can't get my gemmy amazing light and sound show christmas tree trio to work on a timer. Does anyone know how to bypass the remote control?

Did you figure it out b/c I lost my remote and trying to figure out how to bypass the remote as well.

I used a stereo plug extension wire like you use to extend headphones. You plug it in to the "demo" socket dangling from the controller box on the tree. you can play with the insertion to make it light up. Once set, the light show will start every time you apply power. Play with how far you insert the headphone plug. On one position it will play one song with lights then turn off. But the light show setting plays every time power is applied but no music with this setting. It is same as Effects setting on the remote.

I don't believe it can. I have mine on one of the timer circuits but once power is applied the unit just sits until you either activate it from the remote or use the 'demo' switch. If you know someone with electronics knowledge, they can probably work up a small circuit with a relay that will momentarily close a few seconds after power is applied. Use this relay closure to activate the unit via the demo switch.
