The pa800 has a fixed amount of Ram at 64mbs and it is not physically possible to upgrade the Ram. The pa2x has a removable128mbs Module and that can be upgraded via a 256mb Module from Korg.

    WRONG. I upgraded my Pa800 to 256mb . I changed the ram and i installed the o.s. version to recognizing the card.

Hello can you send me this KorgPa800 RAM 256MB 2.02 os? Could you send me the installer file on this o.s (skype: asan.onbashi) I already have 256MB RAM card but the keyboard will be recognized as 64 mb.Kolko pages are o.s of-a USER.DK.

    you have to install ONLY the original Korg 256mb RAM. Then i can give you the new o.s. version to recognizing the ram card . i can sell you the version 150 euros.

Hello, I have a big problem with my korg pa800.i was install os 2.02 my sample ram have been disappaired when i have os 1.01 the sample ram was working.. but when i upate the os 2.02 sample was not saving...
After updating the firmware, you likely must do a factory reset. This is probably required so the keyboard will read and decide how much ram actually exists. At this site do the "factory reset" version:

Hi I have a problem with RAM memory korg pa 800 in the test shows me an error, please give me a competent advice on what to do thank you!
If it says there is a RAM memory error, there is likely a bad module. If you installed these yourself, it is likely you have installed the wrong type or an incompatible configuration of the modules.

USUALLY the modules need to be identical in these synths. When upgrading, buy a complete set fot the unit and ones that are specifically guaranteed for it.

Not booting after upgrade to latest version
The latest version is version 2. First try downloading the update again here:http://www.korg.com/SupportResults.aspx?productid=271 Don't forget to download and install the latest Midi driver and USB driver as well. They are available at the same address. I couldn't get the FAQs section to work there so I couldn't look at it. I have noise on ram samples
Korg Pa800 Synthesizer i have noise on ram samples Answer i turned on my pa800 and when i play ram samples there was some noise like cracking and distortion,... there is now homemade solution for pa800 with 128mb ram, i have 128mb in my pa800. but u cant just put new ram, its kinda complicated.
