To change the time on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is).
with the handset down, enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED
1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming
)
2) enter in #55 the screen should say YYMMDDWHHMM
3) enter in the year, month, day, day of the week, hours and minutes(the day of the week values are 1= mon. 2= tues. etc.)
press # when finished.

Dial #20, then 1,2,3,4 then change closed to open by pressing mute then press #. Then dial #70 (display shows) enter current date and time, press # to store and exit.
PS - I know what you mean about the manual... not detailed AT ALL! We only have one phone line that rings through and nobody sits at that ext. anymore so everyone has to use # and then the ext to answer the call. I think I found how to make it so that other phones will ring but I gotta look into that tomorrow. My main problem is trying to figure out how to change the phone numbers in the speed dial! Manual gives directions on how to change my personal #'s but that's it! ANy help would really really really be appreciated!!! THanks!
