I purchased an in-the-box laptop from someone. At first, I had an internet connection without a wireless router, then I lost it. I tried to get it back but think I inadvertantly changes some settings. I tried to fix this problem with the upgrade disk and now i have lost everything.. programs... internet connection..my desktop, etc. How can I get it back and can I get the wireless to work again or was that just a fluke?
Share with you a good site that you can get cheap ************ from there: www.vanskeys.com, all versions of windows keys and office keys can be found in that site.
Concening the wireless connection....if you dont have a router of your own then you must have been sccidently connecting to someone elses that had no security.
What exactly did you do with the upgrade disk and what disk is it?

The disk came with the box, Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade, I still have it but when I used it I thought it might fix the problem with connecting to the internet. I didn't realize it was someone elses internet connection. I will be getting my own wireless network so this laptop can be used to access files on my desktop computer. Now, the only problem I have is getting rid of the changes that the upgrade disk made to my vista appearance. I lost the Acer Empowering Technology bar.
