You burnt out the backlit lamp. unfortunately there is no easy fix for this. If still underwarranty great, if not... it will cost more to fix it then buy a new tv probably.
Hi This is more than likely your Y Sustain board that has failed. Take the back of your tv and look to the left hand side, you will see a main board connected to 2 x buffer boards that connect to the screen via ribbons. Take the part number of the main board and Google or Ebay for a replacement. 98% of the time this will cure your problem. Hope this helps
i had a similar problem with my lg tv i went to menu/options scroll down and did a factory reset it tunes your tv in again and after that my picture came back
Open the back cover and check the fuses on Y Sus Board and X Sus Board. If you can find a blown fuse, just replace that board and your problem will be fixed.
