Silvia leaking water

My 2 1/2 yr old Silvia is leaking a steady stream of water from the solenoid drain tube during brewing. This has just recently started. She leaks a couple of drops during steaming, but there is an excessive leak during brewing. Is this an indicator of solenoid valve being faulty? Any other thoughts or solutions?

Hi
The solenoid valve needs back flushing the correct way with a espresso machine detergent like Cafiza, or Joe Glo. Place a 1/2 teaspoon in a blind basket. (don't come with Silvia). Place blind basket in portafilter and brew like making espresso, but run pump for no more than 5 to 10 seconds or until the pump starts to change tone (slow down). Stop the pump when either of these things happen or Silvia can be damaged. Repeat the pump 5 to 10 times leaving a 1 minute wait between cycles, or the suds comming out the 3 way valve turns pure white, with no coffee stains in the foam. Remove the portafilter and rinse then reinsert and repeat the cycles to rinse the internals. This should take care of the problem. If not you may have to replace the 3 way.

My 7kg Electrolux front load washer keeps stopping from between 1 to 14 minutes before it finishes. I have to keep coming in to press restart button. It keeps saying ERR 10. What does this mean?

Family alarm code E10 means difficulty in filling during wash phase or water leakage.

Could be:

E11 - Tap closed or water pressure too low; Drain tube improperly positioned; Water fill solenoid valve is faulty; Leaks from water circuit on pressure switch; Pressure switch faulty; Wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

E13 - Drain tube improperly positioned; Water pressure too low;
Water fill solenoid valve is faulty; Water circuit on pressure switch is leaking/clogged; Pressure switch faulty.

Rancilio Silvia is leaking from behind the front panel when brewing stops

There is a discharge tube for the brew solenoid there, if leaking constantly there is a problem, if only small amount of water after brewing a coffee not a big problem.

I have a 2006 saturn ion 2. Just recently, my ac is draining into the passenger floor board. How do i fix this ?

Bulletin No.: 03-01-39-011B
Date: November 22, 2005
TECHNICAL
Subject:
Water Leaks Into Passenger Compartment Through HVAC Module Condensate Drain Tube When Parked on Incline/Uphill Position (Install Auxiliary Drain Tube Extension)
Models:
2003-2006 Saturn ION Sedans and Coupes
Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to include the 2005 and 2006 model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-01-39-011A (Section 01 - HVAC).
Condition
When vehicle is parked on an incline with the front end up during a rainstorm or when driving uphill during a rainstorm, water may leak into the passenger compartment through the condensate drain tube opening of the HVAC module.
Cause
Water may drain out of the cowl drain, then drain down the front of the dash panel in the engine compartment and seep into the HVAC module condensate drain tube opening. The water then collects in the heater core cover and upon acceleration may leak into the passenger compartment through the heater core cover seams.
Correction 1. Open the hood and locate the HVAC module condensate drain tube in the engine compartment on the right side of the dash panel.
Important: During installation of the auxiliary drain tube, do not make contact with the HVAC module foam gasket located at the base of the HVAC module condensate drain tube. If the auxiliary drain tube is pushed on too far and makes contact with the foam gasket, water may leak into the passenger compartment.
2. Slide the auxiliary drain tube onto the HVAC module condensate drain tube and make sure that the auxiliary drain tube is angled downwards after installation.cansmo_121.gifcansmo_122.gif

I have a Silvia which is about 6 years old. Over the last few weeks, when I am brewing coffee, some water leaks around the portafilter. The portafilter is well seated and properly tamped. How do I approach...

Have you ever changed the brwe head gasket? It should be changed yearly at least. They get hard from the heat and won't seal. They should be soft to make a good seal. You can change it your self. I have left post on changing gaskets. Look for Silvia solutions.

Coffee brewing comes out in a fast steady stream when brewing, coffee doesn't brew properly and comes out weak. taste like unbrewed.

If it comes out in a steady "stream" it sounds like the sprayhead is missing. The sprayhead disperses the water out and evenly over the grounds.
If the sprayhead IS in place then it could be a temperature problem. If the temperature is not hot enough the coffee will not brew correctly.

Reservoir heats but won't dispense

If you are pouring water in the manual brew basin, then check the sprayhead holes, then the spray tube, those could be blocked. If using the auto brew, check the solenoid and or brew switch.

Kenmore 665.16039403 leaks water when filling

It is coming from the fill tube. You can pull the unit out or use a mirror to look up underneath. It might have come off or got a hole chewed in it.

Rancilio Silvia is blocked (not completely but substantially. Water is restricted out of both the brew-head as well as the steam-wand. I've cleaned the 3-way solenoid valve and I've run CleanCaf twice....

Your problem sounds like a water pump issue rather than the 3 way valve, try priming the circuit by opening the water valve when you clean the system(if you can find scalekleen, use that instead of cleancaff to descale your machine).
