Hi foreylexy,

You actually don't need to install a driver for a router. The discs that the manufacture provide are actually just run a program to guide you through the initial setup. I'm using a router right now and I've never had to install a driver. If however, you are talk about the wireless adapters for use with the WRT54G access point router - then that's a different mater.

To access you router just plug an Ethernet cable into it and your PC. Then open a browser and type 192.168.1.1. This is the default IP address, unless you've changed it. The default login and password are both admin. You should now be able to make any changes you need.

Regards,

Spare head 2.

Instead of double clicking the icon to install the program, right click on the icon and click run as administrator. This should give you the permissions you need to complete the install.

Dell Dimension 4700 - Driver Reset

1st you need to download or install all the drivers for your Dell computer. Try to use the drivers/utilities disks first. Once you can get online, go to Dell.com and look up your model 4700 and download all the missing drivers. Your Linksys Router is not a modem. The Linksys has the modem connected to it for wireless connections.

Still on Wireless Problem

If your laptop is the 4520, you need to download and install one of the wireless drivers (last 2 on the list) from http://www.laptops-drivers.com/acer-notebooks/free-download-driver-acer-aspire-4520.html (Check to see which one your laptop has, in Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager.

If it's the 4530, look here http://seoroot.com/blog/driver-downloads/acer-aspire-4530-and-acer-aspire-4520g-windows-xp-drivers-download.html

I have Toshiba notebook model is satellite M40 (psm40c-sf300E) which was bought few years ago, everything was installed and setup by technician. recently I formated the notebook evrything work fine except...

Do you have any discs given to you when you got the laptop? if you did have a look through them and there should be a driver suitable for your wireless internet driver. And also look through your internet service providers box which you were given your modem in and/or if its an external wireless drive (like u USB plug in wireless Internet) look for a disc because there might also be a driver for the wireless internet on the discs provided if you needed them to setup your internet. If not, Give the Technician a call and see if he/she has a backup of the drivers he/she used to setup your notebook. If they don't they will certainly direct you on the whereabouts to where you can find one and make sure its free since you purchased it pre-installed and was not given any discs which are meant to be given to you incase of such accidents.

Hope This Helps
