My Lg 42lc7d 42 inch flatscreen tv has no sound

Check to make sure you have the right input selected for the input that ou have plugged into.

Sir try to use a dvd and play a movie if still no sounds, try to do this unplug the unit to the main ac outlet then plug again the tv, place your ear near the speaker then push the power on of your tv if you hear something the speaker is in good condition or try to use a head set or earphone plug it in your tv if still no sounds the amplifier of your tv is damage try to consult a technician it is fixable than to buy a new tv. feel free to send feed back good day and best regards.

I do not have a solution but I have the same situation with my tv

Unplug overnight might reset it self it will be back to normal or tries reset everything to factory setting.

mainboard damaged.

replace the mainboard and that should solve your problem.

use hdmi cable from ps3 to rear of tv (you should have hdmi 1 & hdmi 2)then ppress input on remote until you get hdmi 1 or 2 on screen walaa

For bobby11 and luis, it is the power supply. Part Number EAY34797001 in the 42" and EAY34796801 in the 32". This is a known problem, and somebody should start a Class Action against LG over this one. Part is available online and easy to swap out for anyone with the most basic knowledge.
