My lg tv displays V3.10.1 an does not respond to manual or remote control

It is showing the software/firmware version--seems you may have by accident gotten into a place you should not be in---best answer is get LG on the phone with model number and the V3 information---I doubt anyone here will resolve this issue instantly.

Can't get General Instruments cable box to search

if you have a cable box then you will not need to search for channels. Depending on the cables you are using to connect your TV and cable box, the input channel the TV needs to be on changes. Cycle through your available inputs by using the Input or Video Source button on your remote. Check each one for audio/video. Once you are on the right input, use your CABLE remote to change the channels. DO NOT USE THE TV REMOTE.

I have a brand new straight from box LG TV model 32LD320. I have unpluged the HDMI from old TV ( where was working 100% OK) plugged into new TV. Mains switch on - and cannot get any chanels to report on...

HDMI sends video from a source likea bluray player or 'cable box' to tv it will not send signal so you can program channels from it

turn tv to the HDMI input you plugged device into and watch cideo from that source

you will need to connect some type of antenna to be able to program channels on tv

very few tvs need channels programmed these days since most people hook up a cable or sattelite receiver and change channels that way

hope this helps if not give me more speecific details and i can help you more

good luck

My tv just packed up and i have borrowed an accoustic solution 42 inch tv but with no manual or remote at the moment. trying to connect to my virgin vplus box by keep getting message no signal. could...

Can you change channels through the Virgin Vplus box or see if when you use it's remote does anything come up on screen? If not if you don't have any control functions through your box then it may not be hooked in correctly, if you get some change from your box and just not a signal then it's the box's input.

TELEVISON MODEL:SAMSUNG LE32B450C4W my gran just recieved this tv today she also use virgin media digital on tuning in the television i noticed i could not find digital tv and that i had to go through...

In short: No.

Virgin Media is received via an external box and there is no way to simply program the tv so that your gran can just press one number.

There is a complicated way, but it would be even more confusing. Some Virgin boxes have an RF (i.e. regular tv aerial) output in addition to the usual Scart output. The RF output can be tuned into a regular terrestrial channel, but reception quality is poor compared to using the Scart. Your gran will have to remember to ensure the tv is set to terrestrial reception and to use the source button and ext when she wants to go back to Virgin. This also will not work when the tv uses it's own inbuilt digital Freeview receiver so it's both confusing and useless after the digital switchover.

Either leave the TV permanently set to ext and tell your gran to only ever use the Virgin remote to change channels, or be patient with her as she takes time to learn how to select between terrestrial, Freeview and Virgin.

It's less than ideal and when I worked for a tv rental company this kind of complication was a major pain for older customers (and younger non tech savvy ones!)

It may also be worth looking for a simplified universal remote control with clear buttons. There is one which has large buttons but the controller is almost the size of a sheet of A4 paper.

Lg lcd tv keeps changing chanels

Come on, lets try to solve this. Take the batteries out of the remote so it can't interfere and try changing the channels and volume with the buttons on the tv. If this works then someone has spillled something onto the remote and gummed it all out. You simply need to take the remote apart and clean it out. If the buttons on the tv do th same as the remote did then yes, take it back.

LG TV renote not worknf on 4 new sets

Hello,

If you have a cable box (otherwise known as a set-top-box) that you have to turn on when you turn the tv on, and you use to change your cable channels, the LG remote will not control it. The LG remote is strictly for the tuner built into the television, and is not capable of controlling the cable box.

You probably see "function not available" because you are viewing the picture on an external input of the tv (component, composite, etc). Your tv cannot tune stations in when it is set to an external input that you use to watch DVD's, cable boxes, games, and other devices. The tv is telling you that you can't change channels if it is on an input.

I hope this helps you...
