Are you comfortable taking the dyer apart? There are just a few simple screws to remove. It sounds like a bad blower wheel. If you follow the link you should be able to trouble shoot the issue.

Mine does the same thing (it's doing it right now!). I had it looked at and they said I have to replace the mother board. It's going to cost me $300! It stops beeping and works normally most of the time. When the house is humid, it starts beeping again.
Maytag is total garbage. Our Maytag fridge had to have a new compressor installed after only a few years. Our washer and dryer are only a few years old as well. Never buying Maytag again.

Looks like my Maytag. My dryer belt is broken so doesn't tumble. Check by taking two screws out of tilted panel and look at belt. If it isn't heating probably heat coil. If nothing probably electrical. Maybe door switch is open circuited.

you have to go in through the front and a total of 5 screws

Sounds like you thru the breaker. If not, it is the door switch.

murr wow your not going to believe this but there the same booth,,kenmore and maytag is made by whirlpool...so if i was buying i would cut to the chase,,whirlpool..save a couple of dollars..onthejob
