I did not find any information regarding increasing the length of time of rings of incoming calls in the manual. So, I thought the incoming rings length of time may be dependent upon your cell phone service provider, Vodafone.

you please get the puk code of your sim from service provider(airtel, vodafone etc)
with the help of this you can change the master code of your set
if you dont change the master code it may be 0000 or 1234 bydefault

I too bought this phone outright from a vodafone store in Melbourne Australia.
I got it for my daughter and then contracted her to a cheap plan and forgot it was locked.
After doing a search on the net i found some sites that claimed to unlock this for a small fee, (unlockitnow and remoteunlock) so i paid just to recieve a reply that they cant do it and will refund. This is annoying as you pay an extra fee to paypal, Also the most common response was the voda star clip costing about the same as the phone did.
THEN I FOUND IT!!!!! and believe it or not it was the most obvious solution, i went to vodafone.com
and clicked on unlock my phone... bloody simple... entered my imei and as an extra bonus by doing it online i got 50% off, it only cost me $25aud i immediately got the code, entered it in the nck and it worked.I tried to call home which initially failed as you need to wait prob 5mins so it can register.After this it worked and have had no dramas since
