Question about Nokia 6300 Cellular Phone
i bought a nokia 6300 today and it is blocked to optus network but i want it to be unlocked so i can use my telstra sim do you have the restriction code to unlock it??
No Brother it is paid service and many providers give it. U may search them here at fixya or other mobile support forum like GSMHOSTING, GSMHELP etc. No one can give u such code because it is part of Nokia security. The code is as per cell's unique IMEI and only can be obtained by professional software tools like BB5 box and other compitable tools. It is advisable to visit nearby mobile technician who have such box. He will charge u for that. If it sounds informative do not forget to vote.

CANNOT UNLOCK NOKIA 6300 B/C IT'S BB5 SECURITY BASED.
While there are so many mobiles that can be unlocked by giving your IMEI to receive an unlock code, you cannot unlock the Nokia 6300 this way. The Nokia 6300 is a BB5 security based phone which means codes don't work on these phones unless you get one from the actual network the phone is locked to (Optus charges AU $80). This phone needs dismantling to be unlocked with special equipment e.g. BB5 box. Take the phone to a mobile repair shop (around AU $30) Takes 10 mins to unlock.

You need to contact the original mobile phone provider and they will be able to provide you with the code.
Some companies may ask that you have had the phone for a certain amount of time or request that you have topped up by a certain amount before they will provide you with the code.
Rather than paying here there and everywhere to buy different unlock codes that usually DO NOT work try giving the mobile network a call.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

There are many websites and applications which claim to generate unlocking codes for nokia phones for free, I don’t know if they work but you can certainly try them at your own risk:
Thanks for using Fixya

NETWORK UNLOCK CODE:
To unlock your mobile you need to get network unlock code(NUC) from current service provider via phone or go to service provider office.
While you get the Network unlock code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only.If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the network unlock code.
To get restriction code you have to call your previous service provider. This code is provided to prevent in case of theft taken place the other person cannot use your phone in other networks.
While you get the restriction code ,the previous service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only.If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the restriction code.
These codes are always free.DONOT pay money for these codes. The website which provides these codes are fake.DONOT trust them.
