GE Nautilus dishwasher. Doesnt seem like motor is working

GE Nautilus dishwasher. Doesnt seem like motor is working. Fills up to the elementsand stops, elements contiue to get hot and start to smoke. treid all setting in all spots water doesnt drain either.

GE Nautilus, GSD3425F00bb. Does not fill with water every time. Sometimes it fills okay other times it gets only enough water to barely spin the sprayer. When it does fill it does okay.

This would be the motor that spins the dish washing unit in the bottom. The noise you hear might mean that the motor will need to be replaced.

Dish washer has no water.

Check the faucet first, turn off the faucet, disconnect the dishwasher copper hose, re-open the faucet and check you faucet see if there is water come out, sometimes there is a small stone or sand block the faucet. Good luck, hope this can help, if not we check the others.
