Blinking red light no heat

We have a slant/fin liberty II oil-fired water and steam boiler unit with a honeywell meter which usually has a red light on, signifying it has flame. if its off it means there's no flame, if it blinks on and off it means it's recycling [whatever THAT means}. it's been blinking on and off for 4 hours, the boiler is cold and we have no heat,

It sounds like you are actually in lock out. Recycle is when during a call for heat, the flame goes out, the unit will try to restart itself. Hope this helps

After moving my gas meter from inside the home to outside and having a semi concealed meter connected we cant get the combi boiler to work properly we can get hot water and have the gas fire on but

your boiler needs a minimum gas pressure of 16 mb to light successfully. if your gas pipe has been extended it has to be able to flow enough gas. it may need upgrading to 28mm for even as little as a metre from the gas meter. if your central heating works ok when the fire is off then this is your problem

I have a HEAT MAKER MARK II Boiler and it wouldn't fire up , I replaced the HOT SURFACE IGNITER (I took the amp reading and i got 3.9 amps, wich is normal) and the boiler still wouldn't fire up i check...

Check the flow switch. Small black box lower left hand side as you face the from of the unit. Try to jump the connection and then see if it fires up. If it does, replace your flow switch. The flow switch prevent the boiler from firing because it is not sensing the water moving through the pipes. The boiler won't fire if water is not moving through it.
