Sony Ericsson Satio not displaying contact name when receiving a text, only displaying their numbe, despite me having their name & number stored in my contacts list. When making and receiving call, and also when sending a text, the name appears???

There may be promlem in ur contact setting so try this.....

go to contact option then open setting

there may be many options like contact view e.tc
u choose in these option "name and number"

I have the same problem - text message not displaying the contact name. Still haven't found the solution.

I have this phone and it happened/happens to me. The reason for this is that when you numbers were transferred over they probably saved wrong (as mine did) all my contacts names were saved as "last Name" rather than first name so you will need to change that over. The other problem with this is that and numbers that haven't been saved with the +44 (how the number appears in a text message) then it wont show up either so you will have to edit those as well. I total pain I know but they should all work once you have fixed this.
