When i am going for scan my machine display this massge this function requires optional equipment

NO WORK SCAN. WHEN I PRESS "SCAN" BUTTON SHOW "THIS FUN. REQUIRES OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT" IN DISPLAY BOX. PLEASE HELP ME HOW TO SETTING AND SOLUTION THIS MACHINE. SO HOW TO SCAN FRO PC AND SETTING? THANK YOU

Check OS support, un install the drivers & install again with original CD which came along with the printer.

The machine will scan to SMB as standard, scan to email would require the optional IP424 controller. Your service company should be able to set this up.

The remote control is an acess to the TV device for example only from a distance. A remote controll for functionality would require to insert batteries a power source making possible communiction with devices requiring reception transmittion of signals. Some machines require the purchase of an optional scan board in order to work. They still put buttons like "FAX" and "SCAN" on the machine even when they don't have that function on-board.
