I haven't touched a single setting in my computer but I went to connect to a web conversation and my computer simply says "Camera not found". Its not even there in the hardware. What may have happened and how do I fix it?

Acer usually has 3 kinds of drivers, the chicony, bison and suyo webcam drivers. just download all three of them and try them one by one. chances are one of them will work.

Possibly webcam driver is not installed, go to: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_4720.html, choose your operating system Windows XP or Vista and download webcam driver then install it and reboot you laptop.

try to check in the control panel> scanners and camera. and try to play with the settings.

or

go to msconfig and click on the startup tabs and then click enable all then reboot your notebook.

Maybe You DO Need To Go On Your Setting's, As I Think The Webcam DOES Work You Just Need To Set It Up Eg; Download It. Still No Improvment ?
Then I Think You Should Contact Acer . They Will Give You Some Advice . Probably ALOT Better Than Mine Haha.

just only instal the driver and software of your camera.. to work it

accidentaly deleted it how do i retrieve it back

This is a common problem for Acer models using Crystal Eye. Delete the web cam from Add or remove programs. Delete all pictures from My Documents. Reinstall Bison Web cam driver. Will work!!!

go to this link, through the acer button, go to support, and get new drivers(those webcam drivers will go bad for no reason at all). start with model or serial number there.

make sure u installed before u plug it coz some times it wont work or if u install it already den make sure its compatibility with ur version of windows ok

is it connected to the computer?
it is possible it's pulled out by some accident

if it is, remove it and put it in another port, then reinstall the program
