B&S Intek OHV 18hp on Troybilt tractor runs very hot. I replaced a defective alternator. Now I get 13.5 volts, but the muffler glows red hot almost immediately and it doesn't idle quite right. I suspected a plugged air filter and replaced it, but no change. When I changed the alternator, I used compressed air to clear debris from the engine and under the flywheel, but I covered the carb, etc. Any ideas?
