Paper jam problem

Hi Sarah, do you have an epson printer?
In these years i had this problem with a lot of Epson Printers...
Well, if this is the situation, i'm sorry to tell you that this is caused by the printer pick up rollers that are worn, so... you can try to wipe with alcohol the surface of the rollers, but there's no way to fix this...
You can try to gently push the paper inside the printer when it takes the sheet

Ink cartridges move back and forth, paper feeds and half way goes sideways creating a paper jam

check closely where the paper is moving sideways.. there is something obstructing the paper path, piece of paper a staple or something.. look closely

When I feed a page into the tray it starts to print and then the page turns sideways (to the left) and jams up inside the machine.

There is something (aka a paperclip or something like that) that has fallen inside your printer and is impeding the paper from passing through the printer. See if you can find what it is or possibly there is paper stuck inside that you cant see.

Copier jamming/copy printing sideways

If it jams every copy then it sounds like the paper tray size is not programmed properly. This is also why the print is the wrong direction on the page. So the copier thinks it has 8.5X11 loaded like this > -- and instead it is loaded like this > |
I hope that makes sense. So this not only causes the print to be the wrong direction but since the paper dimension are different that what the machine expects then it throws the sensor timing off and results in a paper jam. So just open your paper trays and check the paper size dials in the trays to make sure they match the paper size AND direction of the paper loaded into that tray.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Printer made machine gun noise. will not print.

The print head is stuck - something has jammed it and the noise you are hearing is the carriage for the print head. Open the top and try moving the head by head sideways to see what has jammed it.

Won't print

Have seen something similar when the user was printing labels and one came off. There was a jam, but you couldn't see the offending paper, and it was stick as well. Got it out carefully, but it wasn't easy - did not want to take the thing apart
