I suspect she is flooded. Flooding is the most common cause of fails to start on a chainsaw. Remove the plug I bet it's wet.

I've a 359 one time I forgot to pull then push the choke (sets fast idle). My shoulder gets sore just thinking about it.
Has it been sitting awhile since last use? I would check and clean the jets on the carb if it has-Gum accumulates there and clogs. Just because you smell gas and see it running down the side of the saw doesn't mean it's getting to the (combustion) chamber.

I am having same problem with my husky 359 good spark, compression and fuel and will not even pop. Was running fine then just quit. Replaced coil as spark seemed weak and even when using starting fluid not even getting a pop ?!?
