This code indicates a pump issue. First, remove and clean the filter. Then you need to check out the pump.

Whirlpool F2 = Long Drain error code.

F2 error code usually relates to over temperature on the oven cleaning cycle, (where the temperature in the oven exceeds 990 degrees) This has obvious safety implications.

Normally it is caused by a faulty temperature sensor but can also be caused by 'stuck on' relay contacts in the 'oven clean' cycle controlller or a stalled cooling fan or air flow problem.

As with all electronic circuits sometimes the problem will disappear if you switch the power off for 30 mins thn rest the oven but if the problem persists you will need to have the oven sensor replaced.

to reset the pas-loc turn the to on position 10 to 15 min.then turn the key off for a few seconds,then start the car/if your security light is on do this like i said for 10 to 15 minutes.the light should go off,then turn the key off and wait a moment then start it,you dont have to wait the 1/2 hour out

F2 is long drain.
Just because it came up doesn't mean there's a problem, it simply means there was a failure during the cycle, if it returns on a regular basis, you have a problem.
F2 error could be caused by the over use of soap, you need to make sure your using 2 tablespoons of HE soap, 1/4 cap at the most.
Over sudsing, could cause the water pump to run longer, the pump is designed for 15 min duty cycle which means, 15 minutes on to 45 minutes off. The computer may sense too much soap, and continue to pump. HE soap will cure that, along with SUD error, possible F9 (overflow condition), you may also notice the timing is wrong, HE soap works well in these machines and F/l washer go hand in hand
if the F2 returns the remove the 3 torx screws from the bottom kick panel, and remove the kick panel, right there in the middle you will see a big round handle, turn it and then slide it out, have some towels ready, there will be some water in there, and check to see if you have any thing in there that will slow water flow, tooth picks and other "floating" items may jam the impeller.

This means that the drain time has exceeded 8 minutes and the water valves have turned off. After 4 minutes the suds error is displayed then 4 minutes later the F2 error.
