Does feel like it's running? does it play sounds? then it's your screen. if it's unresponsive, then it's your motherboard. If you want to fix it yourself, You can get the part at psp Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the part at psp Repair Guide.

It's BRICKED then.

You'll need to buy Magic MS + Pandora Battery.... from somewhere online! Won't cost you much!

I've upgrade my psp 5.03 chickhen r2 to 5.50 gen-d3. then i reboot my psp, and then my screen turn blank. i remove my mem card and batterry. and nothing happens.. plss help me.

upgrading/downgrading or installing CFW in PSP is a risky business. the rule of thumb is to know if you have hackable or unhackable motherboard. if you had 5.03 chickhen before, then most likely you have a PSP-3000 or PSP-2000 v3 which has unhackable motherboard. you should have just installed 5.03 Gen-C or CFW Enabler 3.70, or upgraded the OFW to 6.20 and installed 6.20 TN-E or 6.20 PRO-B. 5.50 Gen-D3 is for hackable motherboards like PSP-1000 or early versions of PSP-2000. you have bricked your PSP!!!

for more details, check out sites like pspslimhacks.com, pspcustomfirmware.com or qj.net.

While im plaing my psp, the screen freezed and i restarted it, when i turned on my psp (theres a green light) nothing happens the screen is empty then a few minutes the green light gone what happened

I guess you have custom firmware. If so, you can use a pandora battery to solve the problem. If you do not know how to make a pandora battery or if this doesn't work send me an email or add me on [email protected]. But pandora is most likely to be the solution. I had the same kinna problem but I was updating it thats the only difference. The green light is on and the screen was blank and then the light turned off. So I used a Pandora Battery and it fixed. :P

I have a sony 2001 PSP, and I've had it for less than a month and just recently I tried to use it, when i attempt to turn it on I press the power button and the green light (which shows that the PSP is on)...

For how long have you NOT been using your PSP? and did anything happen before you even tried using it AGAIN? Do you have others in your area who has a PSP? if nothing happened to your psp before you tried using it again e.g.accidentally fell or something like that, then just try to use a different WORKING psp battery...if it didn't work, then prolly your PSP went brick and the only solution for that is a pandora kit...

Psp not working

This problem occurs when there is some problem with the firmware, it can be happen If you turn off the system or remove the memory stick during an update. If an update is cancelled before completion, the system software may become damaged. if so, you''ll have psp with blank on screen. try remove all plugin MS, Umd, etc, then press bright button of psp. if isn't work you need pandora battery to downgrading your firmware. hope this help.
