Water does not drain 'Fast 40' and 'Delicate' lights come on to indicate a fault.

The lights that are blinking are indicating an error code--the particular code you describe is a "heater error". You will have to check the circuit for an open heater element, loose or broken wire, defective main control board. The part number for the main board is DE92-02256C. Hope I helped you!

If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty.
If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code “4′ and unit will continually fill and drain where testing won’t be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show “0′, water won’t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code “8′ immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.

The dishwasher not draining is most probably faulty drain pump or drain hose is got bit loose.It has to be checked and confirmed

this does mean draining cycle has timed out due to either blockage or faulty pump...

this fault code indicates that the water is not pumping out fast enough.check your drain hose for possible restrictions and the drain pump should also be check

count the number of flashes- this indicates fault ie will flash 4 times stop, flash 4 times stop. To clear fault, hold start button for 3 secs. Try running another fast cycle- if fault reoccurs count flashes: Number of flashes:1=NTC fault, 2=Flood switch activated, 3=Heating fault, 4=drain fault, 6=water inlet fault, 7=flow meter fault, 8=water level fault

This is a bad control board that if replaced will only repeat in a short time .My advice is to contact the manufacturer and complain,you have the right as a consumer to do so.

just been told the code means heater failure. Just have to find out how to change it now.
