K800i cid 53 incorrect sim card - Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone

Obtain the unlock code for your K800i if the phone is locked. You can get the code from an unlocking service, or from the carrier that originally sold the phone.

Turn off the K800i and turn the phone over.

Remove the battery cover by sliding it toward the bottom of the phone. Lift the battery from the bottom and set the battery cover and battery aside.

Remove the old SIM card by sliding it out from under the metal clip. If you have an unlocked K800i, all you need to do is insert the SIM card from your new carrier. Otherwise, leave the SIM out and reinstall the battery and battery cover.

Turn the phone on and wait for it to boot up.

Press left on the navigation pad and press "*" twice, then press the left arrow again. The phone will display "Personalize with MNC2."

Type the unlock code and wait for the phone to reboot.

Turn the phone off and insert the new SIM card.

A request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times incorrectly.

Your SIM card will then become "PUKed" or Blocked. This is a security measure to protect your service.

You need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM card.

I have an Sony Ericsson K800i, I had the same problem with that phone and i ended up with knowledge on how to fix it.

If the phone does not start and the only thing functioning is the red LED light at the infrared panel, this means that somethings wrong with the EROM.

EROM is like the boot up code on a computer.
It seems the EROM has been corrupted in a way or another. This is a very common problem with K800i's.

The best way to fix this by using a flashing program such as ("SETools2Lite") This has the capability to flash your phone's erom, including your other parts aswell. All tho for flashing your phone completly you will eventually need the right files for your phones.

ALSO a MAJOR TIP: If you use these programs, i STRONGLY recommend that you DO NOT in what case it might be EVER to Upgrade your phone to a CID:53

If you ever se the word CID:53 just avoid it. CID:53 could mean death to your phone for all eternity if your not willing to pay to get it fixed.

Little details about CID, Its functions is to keep people from tampering with their phones such as putting K810i in a K800i.
Re-flashing and fixing your phone by yourself. CID:53 is the latest of the CID's for these phones. CID 53 is like an IRON CURTAIN while the rest below 53's are more like a normal curtain.

connect with se tools box , take information, check cid of the respective phone, click misc file , search for the script file ..select db2020 cid whatsoever and click write script option .this is all n your phone will be alive

Yes you can Flash , but need to have xs++ and make sure you have correct Custpack -- the raw data

The PUK code is availlable from your network service provider. This number was on the plastic card that your SIM card was attached to. If you don't have it, only your Network Service Provider can supply it to you.

Un-Clocked is temporary, allows free txt and calls for a few minutes.
Un-Locked from a network is what will allow you to use any sim card on your phone.
